Israel continues to aid tsunami victims

Sunday, January 16, 2005 |

Magen David Adom's medical relief team has been treating hundreds of patients daily in the tsunami-hit regions. Many of the patients are children suffering from infected wounds and respiratory infections caused by drinking polluted water. The team, which includes four pediatricians, trauma and infection residents, three senior paramedics, a nurse and an emergency medical technician, set up an advanced field clinic camp in Sri Lanka about a week ago when they arrived.
