Israel's Foreign Ministry on Wednesday sent an initial $100,000 worth of emergency food and medical supplies to Myanmar after a massive cyclone devastated part of that country over the weekend killing more than 22,000 people.
A much larger follow-up shipment of humanitarian aid is currently being put together by the Israeli Foreign Ministry, reported the Associated Press.
Additionally, the ministry is helping a number of Israeli non-governmental organizations obtain the necessary visas to enter Myanmar and offer assistance and aid.
