An Israeli soldier sustained light injuries Wednesday after being purposely run down by a Palestinian Arab motorist near the Samarian town of Tulkarm.
Another soldier was lightly wounded later in the day when Palestinian forces operating out of the northern Gaza Strip fired a mortar shell at an Israeli army base in southern Israel. At least three more mortar shells and two rockets were fired at civilian communities in southern Israel, causing no injuries or damage.
Following one of the rocket attacks, Israeli forces attacked the vehicle transporting the terrorist rocket crew near Gaza City.
In related news, an Israeli army patrol found and safely detonated a terrorist bomb planted along the Gaza security fence on Wednesday.
Back in Samaria, Palestinian Arab stone throwers attacked an Israeli motorist near the de facto Palestinian Authority capital of Ramallah. The driver was uninjured, but his vehicle sustained damage in the attack.
