An Iranian-born Israeli was indicted on Sunday on charges of passing information to Teheran.
The man was arrested upon arriving in Israel on May 8 and immediately taken in for questioning on suspicion of having contacts with Iranian intelligence agents.
The suspect confessed to making numerous visits to the Iranian consulate in Turkey and having given the Iranians names of Israelis who were working in Israel’s security forces.
According to defense officials, Iran fears an Israeli strike on its nuclear sites and has put pressure on Iranian immigrants to Israel to spy against Israel.
