Electric service may be interrupted

Wednesday, January 19, 2005 |

The Israel Electric Company announced Wednesday that in anticipation of a record demand for electricity due to the cold front expected in the north and center of the country it was very likely that it would not be able to supply electricity to all of its customers. If the IEC is unable to generate the expected demand, it will establish a policy by which it will provide interrupted service to various parts of the country for short periods of time.
