Iran claims Israelis running scared after missile test

Tuesday, July 15, 2008 |  Israel Today Staff

Iran's state-run IRNA news agency told the nation's citizens on Monday that a recent missile exercise by the Revolutionary Guard had so frightened Israelis that the latter were fleeing the Middle East en masse.

According to IRNA: "Following the successful maneuver executed by Iran last week, which included the firing of new missiles, Zionist residents living in occupied Palestine [sic] have begun to flee from there."

The report went on to claim that the emigrating Israelis had informed their government that they could no longer live under the threat of such powerful regional enemies.

The incredible Iranian media claims were seen as a response to reports in the international press this week suggesting that the success of the Iranian missile test had been exaggerated and the documentation doctored.

Western analysts noted that the photographs of the missile test so proudly distributed by Iran had clearly been altered, and said the affair called into question Iran's long-range strike capabilities.
