Palestinian forces operating out of the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip fired a rocket into southern Israel on Sunday afternoon.
The rocket landed in an open area between communities and did not cause any injuries or damage.
Gaza-based Palestinian forces have been violating the two-month-old ceasefire between Israel and Hamas with greater frequency over the past several weeks.
On Friday, another rocket landed in an open area in southern Israel as local residents were preparing for Shabbat. Earlier last week, a Palestinian missile landed just meters from a kindergarten in southern Israel.
Also last week, Palestinian terrorists in Gaza announced that they had used the truce period to greatly improve the range and accuracy of some of their rockets so that today nearly 500,000 Israelis are within their reach.
