Giuliani: Obama a threat to Israel

Former New York City Mayor and current Republican Party attack dog Rudy Giuliani on Tuesday blasted Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama for an Israel policy he says is ambiguous at best.

"I think that his position in dealing with the issues that are important to Israel, like they are important to me in America, is -- (the) best and kindest thing you can say is, ambiguity," Giuliani said in an interview with the New York Post.

Giuliani said Obama's ambiguous approach to Israel and the threats faced by the Jewish state "comes from deeply held views that he has or lack of experience." Either way, an Obama presidency is likely to put Israel in grave danger.

Giuliani is in Denver to act as a spoiler during the Democratic National Convention. It is believed that his wide popularity among Jewish voters could dent Obama's support in key states like Florida.
