Ahmedinejad: Israel exports disease so it can profit from curing it

Wednesday, August 27, 2008 |  Israel Today Staff

Continuing his string of absurd assertions against Israel and the Jewish people at large, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad on Tuesday stated that Israeli pharmaceutical companies are developing and exporting mystery diseases so they can then profit from selling the cures.

In a speech delivered to Iranian pharmacists marking Iran's Pharmacy Day, Ahmedinejad said that "some multinational companies and Zionist drug cartels produce new kinds of diseases to export their drugs to other countries."

Ahmedinejad suggested that the world dump Israeli medicine and instead turn to Iran, which he says has a long history of successful medical advances.
