Arab boy beaten by father for wearing Star of David

A 15-year-old Israeli Arab boy was twice beaten by his father and brothers earlier this week after they discovered the youth has Jewish friends and wears a Star of David around his neck.

The boy filed a complaint with police earlier in the weekend, but was sent back home after investigators could not find any evidence of abuse, reported Ynet.

Upon returning home, the boy was immediately beaten again, this time far more severely. With clear signs of violence on his body when he filed his second complaint, police removed the boy from his home and transfered him to welfare authorities.

The father and brothers were arrested and will likely be charged in the coming days.
