New campaign warns of terrorist rockets on Tel Aviv

A new public relations campaign by a grassroots Israeli movement is warning residents of Tel Aviv and Israel's populous coastal region that the current leadership's willingness to surrender Judea and Samaria to the Palestinian Authority could bring rockets down on their heads.

The organization Mattot Arim is distributing thousands of flyers to mailboxes throughout the area reminding residents that the incessant rocket attacks suffered by communities within range of the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip could soon come to them.

The flyers contain an assessment of the situation by former Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee chairman Yuval Steinitz, who notes that Israel simply cannot trust that granting sovereignty over all Judea and Samaria to the Palestinian Authority will not result in a game-changing escalation of terror.

The only reason Hamas and allied terror groups have been unable to fire rockets on the Greater Tel Aviv area and Ben-Gurion International Airport until now is because of the presence of Israeli communities and military forces in the so-called "West Bank," explained Steinitz.

The Greater Tel Aviv area is known as a stronghold for the leftist political movements and parties that currently hold sway over Israel's government, and which fully support Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's rush to conclude a final status peace deal by meeting nearly all Arab demands.
