Palestinian killer's friends and family confront Israeli troops

Friday, October 24, 2008 |  Israel Today Staff

A mob of some 125 Palestinian Arabs on Thursday tried to forcefully prevent Israeli soldiers from entering the hometown of a knife-wielding terrorist who murdered an elderly Israeli man in Jerusalem earlier in the day.

One soldier and eight Palestinians were wounded in the ensuing clash, which failed to prevent the Israelis from arresting the sister and brother-in-law of the terrorist.

In addition to his elderly victim, the terrorist also stabbed and wounded an Israeli police officer who had stopped him for inspection. Both the police officer and the terrorist are hospitalized in moderate condition at a Jerusalem hospital.
