Israeli renewable energy companies seek US investment

Monday, October 27, 2008 |  Israel Today Staff

A delegation of Israeli renewable energy start-up companies is conducting a series of investor conferences in Boston and New York this week in hopes of raising the funds needed to bring their technologies to the masses.

The head of the delegation from Leviathan Energy, Inc. - which develops energy production processes using wind, water and waves - told The Jerusalem Post that with the American public clamoring for new energy sources he is confident the conferences will give the companies the push they need to move forward.

Israel has increasingly been recognized as a leader in the development of alternative energy production processes, combining its prolific hi-tech industry with the dire lack of nations willing to sell oil and other energy sources to the Jewish state.
