Gaza terrorists again break truce

Thursday, October 30, 2008 |  Israel Today Staff

Palestinian forces operating out of the Gaza Strip fired a missile at the southern Israel town of Sderot early Thursday morning, causing no injuries or damage.

Israel closed down crossing points between Gaza and southern Israel for the remainder of the day in response.

Gaza-based terrorists have violated the ceasefire dozens of times since it went into effect on June 19. Nevertheless, Israeli officials expect the truce to hold until after the upcoming national elections in February.

Israeli military officials believe Hamas and its allied terror groups are using the lull in fighting to improve their offensive and defensive abilities in preparation for a new wave of violence against the Jewish state.
