Major cat fight at Gaza university

Female students at a Palestinian university in the Gaza Strip erupted in violence this week after Hamas sympathizers accused Fatah leaders of repression, and vice versa.

The incident reportedly started with a heated argument regarding the ruling styles of Hamas and Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas, but quickly descended into physical violence with fists and more than one chair flying, according to Reuters.

Several students and teachers were wounded before Hamas "police" arrived and fired their weapons in the air to disperse the students.
