Gaza mortars damage lines supplying territory with power

Palestinian forces operating out of the Gaza Strip fired a volley of eight mortar shells into southern Israel on Wednesday, damaging a power cable that Israel uses to supply the Hamas-ruled territory with electricity.

Israel directly supplies Gaza with over 70 percent of its electricity.

Later in the day, Palestinian forces fired two rockets at communities in southern Israel. There were no injuries or damage in that attack.
