An Arab resident of Jerusalem was hospitalized in serious condition on Tuesday after being stabbed several times in the back, he says by a group of four religious Jews.
The attack took place just outside Jerusalem's Old City, which was the scene of another attack on Monday night during which a group of Arab youths severely beat a young Jewish yeshiva student until he was unconscious.
Police officials cited by Israel National News voiced concerns that the attacks could be an extension of the ethnic violence currently gripping the Judean town of Hebron.
Eighteen young Jews and at least as many Palestinian Arabs have been wounded over the past week during violent clashes as a Hebron house that was purchased by Jews, but which local Arabs demand must be surrendered.
One of the Jewish youths injured in those clashes remains unconscious in serious condition at a Jerusalem hospital after stone-throwing Arabs fractured his skull.
