Israeli Foreign Minister and prime ministerial candidate Tzipi Livni on Thursday suggested that if she wins the upcoming general election she will adopt the platform of right-wing lawmaker Avigdor Lieberman, which calls for the transfer of Arabs out of the Jewish state.
Livni and other left-wing politicians have consistently labeled Lieberman a racist for his views.
But that didn't stop her from telling a group of high school students in Tel Aviv that her peace policies will ultimately enable her to "approach the Palestinian residents of Israel, those whom we call Israeli Arabs, and tell them, 'your national solution lies elsewhere.'"
Livni went on to indicate that if she becomes prime minister hostage Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit may never be freed from Gaza.
Livni insisted that even now she is doing everything possible to secure Shalit's release, but insisted that "there is always the risk of minimum casualties and it isn't always possible to bring everyone home."
