An Arab correspondent for Israel's largest daily newspaper, Yediot Ahronot, reported that Hamas and its sympathizers executed at least eight Palestinian "collaborators" in Gaza on Sunday.
The victims reportedly managed to escape from Gaza City's main prison after it was bombed by Israeli aircraft. The eight men had been imprisoned for providing Israel with information and intelligence in previous anti-terror operations.
When Hamas and nearby relatives of terrorists killed in those previous operations heard that the prison had been destroyed, they rushed to the site and immediately captured and murdered the escaping prisoners.
Palestinian Authority officials in Ramallah said that local Gazans had also murdered a number of prisoners aligned with Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah movement, which is a political rival of Hamas.
