Despite being engaged in full-scale armed conflict with Hamas, Israel demonstrated on Tuesday that its fight is not with Gaza's civilian population by allowing 100 trucks packed with food and medicine to enter the coastal strip.
The food and medical supplies were donated by the Turkish and Jordanian governments, and entered Gaza via the Kerem Shalom crossing. All other Gaza crossings remain closed due to Hamas terrorists targeting them and nearby towns with rockets and mortar shells.
Israel also continues to provide Gaza with most of its electricity.
Addressing Gaza's civilian population directly, Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak on Monday urged everyone to stay away from Hamas terrorists and their bases of operations, as they will be targeted by Israeli forces.
