Hamas spokesman on Sunday claimed that the terror group had abducted two more Israeli soldiers during the initial push by Israeli forces into the Gaza Strip on Saturday night.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Spokesperson's Unit immediately denied the claim.
Hamas' assertion that at least 10 Israeli soldiers had been killed during the incursion's opening hours also proved false.
While it makes a show of caring for its own fighters and the Palestinian populace, Hamas knows that Israelis actually do care enough about their people to think twice about engaging in violence if the stakes become too high.
