Israeli President Shimon Peres issued a statement on Tuesday that more or less declared newly-inaugurated US President Barack Obama the chosen leader of the whole world.
The citizens of the United States may have voted Obama into office, "but as a matter of fact, he was chose by the whole of humankind," gushed Peres.
"Today is a great day not only for the United States of America, but for the entire world," concluded the Israeli president.
