Palestinians prevented from receiving Israeli medical care

The Palestinian Authority recently decided to stop covering the medical expenses of those of its citizens that seek care at Israeli hospitals.

The Associated Press reports that that decision has now resulted in the death of a little girl.

For months a six-year-old Palestinian Arab girl was receiving life-saving treatment for complications arising from tuberculosis at Jerusalem's Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital.

But following Israel's war on the Hamas infrastructure in Gaza in January, the "moderate" regime of Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas chose to break as many ties with Israel as possible, including Israeli health care for Palestinians.

Just one week after the girl and her family were forced to halt treatment at Hadassah, she died.

Hundreds and perhaps thousands of Palestinian Arabs regularly receive advanced medical treatment at Israeli hospitals, dispelling myths that Israel is engaged in a genocide against the Palestinians.
