Two Gaza terrorists killed in firefight with Israeli troops

Israeli forces killed two Palestinian terrorists after spotting them planting a bomb along the southern portion of the Gaza security fence Tuesday morning.

Soldiers stationed near where the terrorists were planting their bomb initially engaged the Palestinians in a gun battle. Unable to bring a quick end to the exchange, the troops called in air support and an Israeli attack helicopter killed the terrorists with a direct missile hit.

In related news, Jane's Defense Weekly reported that ever since the recent Gaza war, Hamas has been feverishly preparing for the next round of violence by upgrading its strategic and tactical capabilities, both through training and bolstering its stockpile of weapons.

The prestigious defense journal quoted a senior Hamas official as saying that the group is applying lessons learned during the war, which found Hamas fighters displaying "weakness and fear" when thrust into actual combat with Israeli forces.
