Palestinians threaten new uprising over Jewish homes in Jerusalem

Wednesday, May 27, 2009 |  Israel Today Staff

A senior Palestinian Authority official on Sunday threatened a new terrorist campaign against Israel if the latter continues to build homes for Jews on the eastern side of Jerusalem.

Palestinian Minister for Jerusalem Affairs Khatem Abdel Kader told Ynet that his government will never agree to anything less than full sovereignty over the eastern half of Jerusalem, and so views Jewish housing in those areas as unacceptable.

Kader went on to say that the PA is glad to finally have the US government on board in its efforts to “thwart Israel's plans in Jerusalem.”

He even suggested that the Obama Administration would fully understand if the Palestinian felt the need to again unleash a campaign of anti-Jewish terror in response to their demands in Jerusalem not being met.
