Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas says the war with Israel is over, but he stopped short of calling the “intifada” a mistake. "We cannot say it was a mistake,” Abbas told the “New York Times.” “But any war will have an end…Today our comrades in Hamas and Jihad said they are committed to the truce, the cooling down of the whole situation, and I believe we will start a new era." It is noteworthy that Abbas describes these Islamic terrorists as “comrades.” He also said getting all 8,000 Palestinian terrorists out of Israeli jails is a “priority.”
