Palestinian Authority finds holiday money for terrorists

Wednesday, September 02, 2009 |  Israel Today Staff

The Palestinian Authority has been complaining for years that because of Israeli security measures its economy is in tatters to the point that it cannot pay the hundreds of thousands of people it employs.

But those restrictions didn't stop the PA from finding $250,000 this week to dole out as Ramadan holiday gifts to terrorists sitting in Israeli jails.

Palestinians jailed by Israel for murdering or trying to murder Jews are viewed as heroes in Palestinian society.

It is unclear if the money that will be given to the terrorists and their families was part of the millions of dollars given every year to the PA by the US and European Union.
