The Israeli Arab Bedouin town of Rahat in the Negev region is looking to expel some 2,000 Palestinian Arabs who have taken up residence there, and are reportedly now causing a lot of problems.
Rahat originally let the illegal migrants into their town because they were a cheap source of labor. But locals told Israeli media that with the arrival of the Palestinians crime rates spiked, and many of the Israeli Arab women who live there complain of being harassed by their new neighbors.
Rahat Mayor Faez Abu-Sahiban said the only solution to expel the Palestinians, and he intends on doing so by the end of the month, with the help of Israeli police.
