Jordan has returned its ambassador to Israel, after recalling him more than four years ago at the start of the Palestinian terror war in protest over Israeli military actions in the territories. Ambassador Marouf al-Bakhit flew to Israel and began work at his Tel Aviv office. The return of the ambassador was announced two weeks ago at the Mideast summit in Egypt, where Israel and the Palestinians agreed to a cease-fire. "It's a very welcome step and it's very important in enhancing the relationship between Israel and its neighbors," said Cabinet Minister Yitzhak Herzog.
