Website offers $500 for killing an Israeli soldier

Wednesday, January 06, 2010 |  Israel Today Staff

Thousands of Israelis on Tuesday received an email offering them $500 for killing an Israeli soldier, local media outlets reported.

The email directed readers to the website www.kku4u.info (since removed), where the offer and instructions on how to kill a soldier and document the murder were given in Arabic and broken English.

Those interested in the offer were told they must take a picture of the murdered soldier in order to receive the reward money.

The website was registered to a phone number in Israel, though it remains unclear if those behind it are based in Israel, in Palestinian-controlled territories, or in a neighboring enemy state.
