Some settlers to be disarmed

The police plan to disarm some militant Jewish settlers ahead of the Gaza pullout, to prevent possible attacks against security forces or senior officials. Public Security Minister Gideon Ezra said weapons will be confiscated from settlers who are regarded as "dangerous." The settlement council charged that disarming individuals would leave them defenseless against Palestinian attacks.
