Israeli warplanes again bombed terrorist positions in the Gaza Strip late Tuesday night in response to a recent escalation in Palestinian rocket attacks against southern Israel.
The latest bombing run reportedly targeted the now-empty and abandoned Gaza airport. Israeli military officials said the strike was meant to send a message that every terrorist rocket attack will be met with an immediate response.
Israel warned following the end of last year's Gaza War that it would continue to respond harshly to any provocations from Gaza-based terror groups.
