Palestinian terrorists fire on Jewish motorists

Sunday, May 16, 2010 |  Israel Today Staff

A Jewish man and women were lightly wounded Friday evening when Palestinian gunmen opened fire on them as they drove near the Samarian Jewish town of Ofra.

The victims both suffered lacerations from flying glass, but managed to continue on to Ofra, where they received medical treatment.

Israeli security forces stationed in Ofra searched the area for the assailants, but were unable to find them.

A terrorist cell affiliated with Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas' ruling Fatah faction later claimed responsibility for the attack, calling it a reaction to the resumption of indirect peace talks between Abbas and the Israeli government.
