Palestinian Arab stone throwers assaulted an Israeli taxi in Samarian on Saturday evening, moderately wounding an Israeli woman.
Several stones reportedly hit the taxi before the woman's husband emerged and opened fire in the direct from which the stones had been hurled. The woman was treated at the scene before being evacuated to a nearby hospital.
Palestinian stone throwers attacked three other Israeli motorists in other parts of Samaria earlier in the day. There were no reports of injuries in those incidents.
Also on Saturday, a mob of 20 Palestinians surrounded the small Jewish community of Karmei Tzur south of Bethlehem and began hurled stones at local residents. Israeli soldiers responded to the scene and dispersed the Palestinians with tear gas.
On Friday, an Israeli soldier patrolling the Gaza security fence was moderately wounded by Palestinian sniper fire.
