Israeli security forces seized a huge car bomb in Samaria packed with half a ton of explosives. A detained Islamic Jihad terrorist told Israeli interrogators that the car bomb was one of three attacks the group was planning, including a rocket assault on the town of Afula near Nazareth and a double suicide bombing at a Jerusalem school. The two suicide bombers were caught. The attempted attacks underscore the fragility of the cease-fire--the Palestinian Authority has no control over terrorist groups that oppose the peace process. Had any of these attacks succeeded, it would have blown the cease-fire sky high.
