Sunday, June 27, 2010 |  Israel Today Staff

Palestinian terrorists operating out of the Gaza Strip fired 12 mortar shells and one rocket at towns in southern Israel on Thursday, causing damage but no injuries.

It was the largest single day barrage in months.

Late Thursday night, Israeli forces responded by bombing an arms warehouse in northern Gaza and two smuggling tunnels in the southern part of the Hamas-ruled territory.

There were no reports of casualties in the Israeli reprisals.
