Prime Minister Ariel Sharon will meet President George W. Bush at the White House on April 12, in a sign of growing US involvement in the peace process. Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas will also hold a separate meeting with Bush in Washington next month. Bush has said that reviving the “roadmap” peace plan and working toward a Palestinian state will be a priority during his second term.
