Two Israeli soldiers wounded in Hebron attack

Monday, March 07, 2005 |

Palestinian terrorists opened fire on an Israeli position in the holy city of Hebron today, wounding two Israeli soldiers, one seriously. The shots were fired from the “Casbah” (old city) at troops manning a checkpoint near the Tomb of the Patriarchs. Soldiers imposed a curfew on the old city and conducted house-to-house searches for the assailants. It’s the typical Palestinian version of a “cease-fire.” Various factions continue attacks ostensibly “on their own,” while the Palestinian Authority and terror chiefs are absolved of responsibility.
