1500 South African Christians flood Jerusalem

Thursday, October 07, 2010 |  Ryan Jones

Jerusalem just got done playing host to about 5,000 Christians participating in the various Feast of Tabernacles celebrations, and another 1,000 who came for the annual Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem hosted by Eagles’ Wings Ministries.

Now, 1,500 Christians from South Africa are in the Israeli capital to bring a message of hope, love and support.

The massive group is in Israel with Lindie Gouws of My World Multimedia Ministry.

Before embarking on a pilgrimage tour of Israel, the group will hold three evenings of worship in Jerusalem’s Old City. Featured will be top Gospel singers from South Africa.

The My World Multimedia Ministry website reveals that Gouws had an eye-opening experience during her first pilgrimage to Israel in 2008.

“During this pilgrimage she came to understand the significance of Israel during the times we are living in. Also she came to understand that we have a responsibility to pray and intercede for Israel, for Jerusalem.”

Like the Day of Prayer, the My World evening worship sessions will be broadcast around the world by God TV.
