Report shows generous government aid to settlement outposts

An state-sponsored report shows widespread government complicity in the construction of unauthorized settlement outposts in Judea and Samaria. The report said government aid to the outposts includes providing money, land, water, electricity and even mobile homes. "All the defense ministers...were part of the secret [about the outposts]," settlement leader Zvi Hendel told Israel Radio. "You can't move mobile homes, you can't hammer a nail in…without the army's agreement. So let's not fool ourselves. This is what the state of Israel wanted. We carried out its mission."
