Israeli troops raided a village in Samaria and killed a wanted member of the Islamic Jihad group, Mohammed Abu Hazneh. The army said the 28-year-old Palestinian terrorist was behind the Tel Aviv suicide bombing two weeks ago that killed five Israelis and was planning more attacks. He was part of a cell that built a 1,000-pound (500-kilo) car bomb that was recently uncovered by Israeli forces. Troops surrounded Abu Hazneh’s home and when he refused to surrender, they sent in a dog after him. The gunman killed the dog, so troops tossed grenades into the house and demolished it with the terrorist inside.
