This past Sunday was the biblical holiday of Purim. Israel Today wants to thank our readers for helping us make this Purim a little more special for Israeli schoolchildren in Jerusalem and several Jewish communities in Samaria.
One of those communities was Itamar, the location of the recent terrorist massacre of the Fogel family.
The savage attack that claimed the lives of Udi and Ruth Fogel and three of their young children sent shock waves through the close-knit community of Itamar, and was especially difficult to digest for the many other children living there.
And all this just before Purim, a holiday that is supposed to be marked by joyous celebration of God’s deliverance of the Jewish people in the face of bloodthirsty enemies.
Fortunately, many Israeli organizations were moved to action on behalf of the children of Itamar.
But, together with you, our readers, Israel Today was able to add a special and unique element to that outpouring of love and support - the realization that not only fellow Israelis, but millions of Christians around the world were thinking of and praying for the children of Itamar.
Below are some picture of the children of Itamar receiving their Israel Today Purim gift bags, a treat that was made possible by your generosity:
