Fence around Jerusalem

With construction of the controversial security barrier around Jerusalem held up by legal challenges, Israel has a new plan to protect the city from Palestinian suicide bombers. It intends to build a temporary fence separating Jerusalem from Judea and Samaria until the court cases are resolved. The plan has prompted protests from Palestinians who say it will prevent thousands of people from getting to jobs, public services and holy places. But Israel is deeply concerned that the breaches in the barrier around Jerusalem are making the city an easy target for terrorists who want to blow up the cease-fire.
