Land of Oil and Gas?

There is an old joke that accuses Moses of taking a wrong turn during the Exodus and leading Israel to the one part of the Middle East devoid of oil. But it's Israel that may have the last laugh, as a Christian oil company draws ever closer to striking what are predicted to be vast fields of "black gold."

Texas-based Zion Oil & Gas has been aggressively searching for oil and gas in Israel since 2000. Company founder and chairman John Brown told Israel Today that God told him to start searching for oil in Israel in order to "fulfill His promises to Israel and to bless the body of Christ."

"Zion Oil only exists because of God's faithfulness to Israel," stated Brown.
