A Feast of Pilgrimage

More than 6,000 Evangelical Christians from around the world converged on Jerusalem to celebrate the weeklong Feast of Tabernacles, according to the biblical command: “All the nations that went against Jerusalem will go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles” (Zechariah 14:16).

There were three Feast events, the biggest sponsored by the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem (ICEJ) under the theme: “Israel: A Light to the Nations.” Opening night began with a stream of pilgrims from some 80 countries parading through the Jerusalem Convention Center with their national flags, and ending with an Israeli bearing the blue and white Star of David to thunderous cheers from the crowd.
