A foreign worker from Thailand was moderately injured early Sunday when Gaza-based Palestinian forces fired two missiles at the southern Israel coastal city of Ashkelon.

The man was operated on at a local hospital after suffering shrapnel wounds. Many Thai nationals come to Israel to work as farm hands.

In other violence, Palestinian gunmen on Thursday attacked an Israeli worker doing maintenance on the Gaza security fence. Israeli forces responded and killed two of the terrorists.
