Our new comment system

Tuesday, December 13, 2011 |  Israel Today Staff

After months of technical problems, including the regular arbitrary disappearance of comments, we have removed our Facebook-powered comment feature from under our news articles.

In its place, we have installed a new comment system powered by Disqus. This is a far more stable comment system, and offers a number of improvements over the Facebook system.

Users can now log in to post comments using either their Facebook, Twitter, Google, OpenID or Yahoo! account details. If you do not have an account with any of these services, you can register with Disqus in order to comment on Israel Today.

It should be noted that with this change all previous comments made on the Facebook system are gone. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause some readers, but it was a necessary casualty in order to replace the old, failing comment feature.
