The number of Jewish Holocaust survivors is dwindling fast, as most are now in their 70s, 80s and beyond. Today in Israel there are 208,000 Holocaust survivors, many of whom still bear the scars of their treatment by the Nazis.
And many are in dire need of help, even 70 years after the Holocaust.
According to recent published figures, 5 percent of Holocaust survivors living in Israel suffer from a lack of food, 40 percent said they feel lonely, and over 20 percent can barely survive the rigors of Israel's cold winter months.
We are asking our readers to partner with Israel Today to help local Holocaust survivors live our their final years in dignity and with a feeling that they are not alone.
