You're invited! Israel Today readers plant new forest

Monday, February 06, 2012 |  Israel Today Staff

Israel Today would like to extend an invitation to all of our readers to attend the dedication ceremony of a new forest in northern Israel made possible by your kind contributions.

The ceremony will take place at 10 AM this coming Thursday, February 9, at Kibbutz Ein Hashofet in northern Israel (link to map for those needing directions). We realize the short notice means only those readers who are currently in Israel will likely be able to attend, but we would love to see as many of you there as possible.

The Israel Today Forest will be situated adjacent to the Carmel Mountain region that saw 790 acres of lush forest destroyed in a massive wildfire in December 2010. The dedication will include the placement of a metal plaque identifying the forest as having been paid for by the Israel-loving Christians who read Israel Today.

The Israel Today Forest will cover over 12 acres and include thousands of trees. We are actually still short of the number of trees needed to fill the forest, and would encourage our readers to continue contributing via our Jerusalem Depot online store. Click Here to do so
