+ + + Israel’s official negotiation partner, the President of the Palestinian National Authority Mahmoud Abbas accepted an invitation of the Iranian government for a meeting. Israel and other states are outraged, because it shows that not only Hamas is allied with Iran, but also the allegedly moderate Fatah-Palestinians are cooperating with Teheran. + + + Barak Cohen, a lawyer and spokesman for the social justice-movement accused Israel's government of being anti-democratic and said that it should be replaced by a completely new system - a People’s movement. + + + The international magazine Monocle declared Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai one of the “10 smart mayors” in the world. He originally worked as a combat-pilot at Israel's Air Force. In 1998 he became mayor when the city was nearly bankrupt. He turned Tel Aviv into a modern world metropolis. Monocle praises Huldai for making Tel Aviv a “magnet for young tech entrepreneurs.” + + + Israeli immigration authorities decided to bring the last 2,200 Ethiopian Jews to Israel until the end of March 2014. Therefore a budget of 17 million shekel (4.3 million dollar) was approved. + + + +
